Each & All Stronger Together - EAST was formed by some fairly independent individuals who wanted to be able push for more liveable local neighbourhoods. We don't have much financial resources but we do have a will to get things done within our capacity - or even beyond! Why not join us? Together we can do much more!
We still want to re-open a drop-in centre at Lexington Place and we need support of every kind to do this. Since the sausage sizzle and brainstorming at Lexo on 8 April 2009, there seems to be a good deal of local feeling that such a centre would help bring our community together.
The LexAct group tries to meet monthly on the last Thursday from 1-3 pm. Contact us on numbers above to see if there's a meeting this month.
Thanks to Maroubra office of Housing NSW for making the meeting room at 47a Portland Place (just around from Lexo) available.
Our Lexpress mobile has gone to kombi heaven after an eventful year appearing around the eastern subs and beyond and bringing togetherness to quite a few people through information sharing, BBQs and more. So we need a centre ...

We're still trying to get Lexpresso and PC Tree plus Lexchange drop-in centre at Lexo
In September 2009, we applied for a grant under NSW government Community Building Partnerships to open a shop refurbishing and recycling computers and training people to do this and also to open a community cafe. We didn't get anything but we applied to Randwick Council asking them if they would rent the shops for us. They agreed to let us submit a BUSINESS plan - we need any help you can give with this!
